Maco states he started his music when his was eleven, during that time he looked up to Chief Keef. During that time songs like "Love Sosa" and "I Don't Like" were out, along with there music videos. These videos showed a different side of Hip-Hop allowing kids like Tavaun to get into the Hip-Hop "game". In a conversation with Maco he says his favorite song is "Finally Rich" by Chief Keef. He also states, "When the song first came out I listened to it everyday, it made me wanna grind harder".

In a conversation with Maco, he states "I was the Kvng of macking with females something like a playboy, I put the V in Kvng because it was different to me".

In a conversation with Maco he states, "My favorite I've made is Over Time because I talk about how people use to laugh at me when I first started to make music, and how I don't want to work a regular job. I also hate how I've been taken for granted, nobody wanted to manage me". This story hits true to many other up in coming artist where you get hate by the people you know since no one thinks you'll make it. But Kvng Maco is showing he can make it.
